Photography: a universal language
Going into what photography means to me and trying to see what photographers I like and which I do not like so much, I realized that like all art, appreciation is subjective. I think there are no good photographs, or bad, simply there are emotions that are reflected from a personal point of view and that for a person can awaken or not empathy with the photographer.
When I take pictures I do not try to be the best photographer, or that my photo is the winner of a maximum prize, I simply try to capture in it what I am feeling at that moment; This is why I like to think that art is for everyone, there is no competition, there are enough emotions to cover all kinds of profiles and ideas.
Reality and preference depend on the observer, it is almost impossible for an observer to capture the reality of the photo because it depends on many factors; the emotional state you are in, the place from where you are seeing it, the time you are living, etc. The interpretation to appreciate a photo is totally subjective and valid to any kind of feeling, sensation and emotion. A photograph should not make you feel a specific sensation, it should simply awaken in you an emotion, that's when the true objective of art has been fulfilled, which is to transmit good or bad emotions, but in the end it is to awaken a feeling.
The only way to see a real picture is from the silence, without mind, without prejudices, without arguments, without logic and without questioning; letting the feelings flow and listening from their own interpretation.
When I try to capture the soul of the animals, the reality is that life is captured, that in the end it is the same life in everyone. If my intention is to capture the soul and the wonder of nature I must do it from my admiration and silence, so that in this way the connection can be true, because if I start trying for the observer to see and capture what I get, then my art It is already biased because the mind has already been involved, because it is already looking for a particular interest and the magic of photography is lost, since this as I mentioned above does not seek to make a particular sensation felt, but simply to awaken feelings.
The beauty of things lies in their very nature, in their freedom of expression, in the small instants that occur from the miracle of life, not in their need to force and be something that is not. If a hummingbird flies, it is because this is its nature, it does not pretend to be beautiful for me and for my photography to transmit that, it is simply beautiful because it is being in its nature and in its reality without expectations, nor prejudices, without wanting to pretend
The only way to capture the essence is moving away and clearing the mind, without looking for a logic where there is not, because that's the art without logic, without formulas, or rules, it's just natural, like the name of my first entry 'an image is worth a thousand words', art does not need to be described, with seeing it can say much more, it does not need words to strengthen itself, it does not speak any language or language.
